Home Service – $45.00/hour (This is also the minimum charge for a house call)
I will come to your home and work on your PC while you or another adult is present in the house. This is convenient for you and will allow you to monitor the repair or computer optimization process. Please be aware that if your computer is infected proper virus scans and removal can take several hours to complete.
Repair In My Office – Flat Rate Based on Diagnostic Estimate or PC Tune Up
A good value for getting your PC repaired is to have me work on your computer in my office. This is certainly more convenient for me which is why I charge a flat rate for this service.
All I need from you is the PC and Power Cord without the monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
If you have any Factory Reinstall disks please also provide those in case they are required.
For hardware repairs I will diagnose your PC and contact you with the estimated cost to repair and completion time.
Diagnostic Service – $25.00
If your computer won’t start or has other problems I will diagnose what is wrong with it and make recommendations for repair or replacement. Many computers are so old and outdated today that it might not make sense to spend a lot of money to repair it.
New Computer Set Up (Basic) – $75.00
Getting a new computer is great but you need to make sure it is set up correctly for security and performance. Many computers come with bloatware and outdated software applications that I will remove and update for you. I will Install a layered defense of security software to protect you from Viruses and Spyware. I will also Create the Recovery DVD’s for your computer in case the Hard Drive crashes or the operating system gets corrupted and you need to restore it to a new condition.
New Computer Set Up (with Data Transfer) – $100.00
Same as basic service plus if you would like your files transferred from your old computer to your new one I will also do that as long as your old hard drive is in a working condition.
Remote Support – $35.00/hour
As long as you have a working High Speed Internet connection and can open your Internet browser I can work on your computer over the Internet. This is very useful to diagnose and troubleshoot software issues but I obviously can’t replace any hardware this way. This service is very convenient if your computer is having trouble at night or on the weekend and you want to try and fix it.
Payment
Payment is due upon completion of service. I accept the following forms of payment:
